Caring for you

The care home provides a complete range of accommodation catering for people over the age of 65, whatever their level of nursing needs, subject to a pre-admission assessment undertaken by our nursing manager. Whilst we may be able to accept residents with a diagnosis of dementia, we regret that we will not be able to care for residents whose prime need for care is dementia-related.

Michael Bone and Bob Lari are the two owners and directors and between them have over 35 years’ experience of running a care home of equivalent quality. Our registered manager, Mrs Dina Lee Rodriguez, has a wealth of experience and has attained the Registered Manager’s Award. The manager is supported by a team of nursing and care staff so that fully qualified, professional and experienced staff are on duty at all times.

Our highly trained and dedicated care staff, and those working within our hotel services and administrative areas are continuously assessed by the owners to ensure a consistently high level of service.

Whether residents stay with us on a long-term basis or just for a period of convalescence or respite care, we prepare individual care plans to ensure that the needs of each resident are specifically addressed.

Our staffing levels are strictly calculated to ensure that we have an appropriate number of nursing, care and hotel services staff on duty at any one time. This enables us to assist our residents where necessary whilst encouraging them to be as independent as they are able. We never forget the importance of residents having a choice as to how they spend their time and support is always available to ensure that their choices are fulfilled. Our staff are trained to deal sensitively with any situation that may arise and our care plans reflect the attention to detail that our residents deserve.

Our Sun Therapy Room assists in increasing our residents’ energy levels and sense of well-being. The soothing effects of sunlight proves beneficial for those suffering from joint pains, stiffness, rheumatism and muscle aches as well as combating Seasonal Affective Disorder. An opportunity to spend some time on our own private beach is a popular attraction!
