Godswell Park: Truly a care home with a difference.
Godswell Park is a state of the art new 45-bed luxury care home, providing the highest quality residential and nursing care, with single en-suite rooms enjoying extensive views in the centre of the village of Bloxham, near Banbury in Oxfordshire. The original building was built in local stone in 1870 and the extensive new accommodation has been constructed in traditional style with stone from the same quarry.

Inside, the design is modern and spacious, offering the highest level of comfort and luxury. You will be instantly struck by the light and airy atmosphere, as far from the traditional view of a care home as you can imagine.
Bedrooms, all of which come with en-suite shower facilities, range from comfortable single rooms to luxurious suites which overlook the landscaped gardens. Assisted bathing facilities are available for those residents who prefer to take a bath rather than a shower.
“I think Godswell Park must be the best equipped
and best run care home in the country.”
All of the bedrooms are larger than average and are furnished to an exceptionally high standard. Most of the ground floor bedrooms have a french door opening to an individual patio where green-fingered residents may care to continue their gardening skills. Residents are encouraged to bring with them small items of furniture and belongings to personalise their rooms.

The various sitting rooms and an in-house cinema and activities area allow residents to enjoy either a quiet period of reflection, to meet their visitors or to participate in the wealth of activities on offer.
Godswell Park has its own shop and hairdressing salon with beauty therapist. Our sun therapy room, the first to be installed in a care home in the UK using technology imported from Sweden, allows residents and their visitors to spend some time enjoying simulated natural daylight even during the darkest days of winter in surroundings that are reminiscent of a beach in Mauritius.
The dining room provides a mouth watering selection of meal choices, but room service is available at all times for those residents who prefer to eat in the privacy of their own room. A coffee lounge is open all day for residents who would like to meet their friends and chat over a hot drink or a snack. Private parties and celebrations are particularly encouraged.
“Everything was just as good as you said it would be, and more.”
An abundance of fresh flowers and the highest quality furnishings, fixtures and fittings set us apart from the run of the mill. Our aquarium is a popular gathering point where even the fish have been given names!
Although the local surgery and dental practice is only around 100 yards away, GPs visit on a regular basis and appointments can be arranged with a physiotherapist, chiropodist, optician and dentist subject to the individual needs of each resident.
